Tottenham fans react as club reportedly battling West Ham for powerhouse striker
Tottenham are reportedly battling West Ham United to sign Youssef En-Nesyri this summer. The powerful Sevilla striker scored an impressive 24 goals for the Spanish club last season, as they finished in the top four. Tottenham fans have reacted on Twitter, urging them to sign En-Nesyri.
En-Nesyri, 24, caught the attention of West Ham back in the January transfer window. The Hammers wanted a replacement for Sebastian Haller that was in the mold of Michail Antonio. They failed to agree a price, but they are clearly still keen. However, they now face competition.
That is because Mundo Deportivo claim Spurs have joined West Ham in the race to sign the powerful forward. A 35-time Morocco international, En-Nesyri’s stock is continually rising and the report claims he is dreaming of a move to the Premier League. Marca say his price tag is set at £43million.
What have Tottenham fans said about En-Nesyri?
Clearly, a new striker is needed at Tottenham this summer. But is it one, or two? Harry Kane remains a Spurs player and there us growing confidence he will be on the books when the window shuts. But anything can happen and after Euro 2020, we will find out if he stays at Spurs, or departs.
But even if he stays, Spurs need back-up and En-Nesyri would be a wonderful signing for Tottenham. Powerful, quick, strong in the air and a goalscorer – En-Nesyri will not do your running, but he will score goals. Tottenham fans think the Moroccan would be a top signing this summer.
