Tottenham fans react as club reportedly battling Nagelsmann for Juventus star

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly battling RB Leipzig and Newcastle United in pursuit of Juventus teenager Radu Dragusin, as the Romanian’s contract situation continues to remain up in the air – and Spurs fans have responded on Twitter.

Dragusin, 18, has made his debut for Juventus under the guidance of Andrea Pirlo – who replaced ex-Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri in the summer. Pirlo has since shown a faith in youth since becoming manager, and Dragusin has profited.

Indeed, the two-time Romania under-21 ace has featured in three games – once in the Champions League against Dynamo Kiev as a sub, and as a late introduction against Genoa in Serie A. He played all 120 minutes against Genoa in the Coppa Italia, too.

Clearly, Juve think he has potential. Italian outlet CalcioMercato claim Juve remain confident that Dragusin will sign a new contract – but the centre-back is hardly short of suitors, with Leipzig tabling an offer and leading the charge.

However, Tottenham and Newcastle are seriously considering the Romanian and are also ready to offer him a different path – if he chooses to turn down the chance to stay at Juve. It is claimed they are more than just ‘carrying out surveys’.

Tottenham supporters reacted on Twitter to the news that Dragusin is a reported target for Jose Mourinho’s side and many believe he would be a good addition for the North London club. One fan claimed he is better than Eric Dier.
