Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly in a four-club race to sign Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Florian Neuhaus but may have to wait until the summer to nab the Germany international – and Spurs fans have responded on Twitter.
Neuhaus, 23, is in the form of his life for Gladbach. He has had a hand in 11 goals from the middle of the park this season during 25 league and cup appearances – six of which have come in the Champions League group stage for Gladbach.
His form has even seen him break into the Germany side ahead of Euro 2021, with Joachim Low rewarding the Gladbach midfielder for his performances with three caps. Now, his form is gaining attention from other European heavyweights.

German outlet Sport1 claim Dortmund are very interested, as are Champions League holders Bayern Munich. However, they are not alone in their pursuit of Neuhaus, with Tottenham and Real Madrid also said to be after him.
The report claims that a £35.5million release clause becomes active in the summer and that may force clubs to wait until then to sign him. It remains to be seen where Neuhaus wants to go, whether that be remaining in Germany or going abroad.
Tottenham fans are hoping it is the latter. Many have responded to the rumours by urging their club to complete a deal for the goalscoring midfielder – with one fan claiming he is the “perfect” man to partner Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in midfield.
