Tottenham fans react as club linked with Real Madrid striker

The links between Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid have continued throughout the summer, and now it appears Spurs are reportedly after another Galactico in Mariano Diaz – and Spurs fans have reacted on Twitter.

Spanish outlet El Chiringuito, as reported by Diario Gol, claim that the 25-year-old striker is a target for Tottenham. He is the fourth player to be linked with a move to Spurs this summer.

Marco Asensio, Dani Ceballos and Gareth Bale have all been rumoured to be interesting Spurs, while Christian Eriksen has strongly been linked with Real Madrid.

Diaz rejoined Real Madrid last summer from Olympique Lyonnais for £29.7million (BBC), after the French club signed Diaz from Real in the summer of 2017. He managed just 22 appearances, though, scoring only four goals.

At Lyon in 2017-18, he was much more successful. Indeed, the Dominican Republic international scored 21 goals in 48 outings for the French side as well as laying on six assists. He has four years left on his Real contract.

Tottenham fans reacted on Twitter to the reported news that their club could be after Mariano this summer to replace the loss of Fernando Llorente as Harry Kane’s back up, and many Spurs fans want their club to sign him.
