Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly made an enquiry for AC Milan striker Patrick Cutrone ahead of the summer transfer window – and Spurs fans are desperate to see him sign.

Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb claim Spurs have enquired the one-time Italy international, and have been told that they will have to spend £30million to land Cutrone.

Cutrone, 21, could be allowed to leave Milan after becoming frustrated at the San Siro. The striker had been first choice during the first half of the season with Gonzalo Higuain struggling.

Higuain left Milan in January to join Chelsea, while Milan signed Poland international Krzystzof Piatek. The latter has been in excellent form since his move from Genoa, meaning Cutrone has been forced to impress from the bench.

Spurs do have options up front. Harry Kane obviously remains the club’s first-choice striker, while Fernando Llorente is the club’s back-up forward. Son Heung-min and Lucas Moura can also play up front, while Vincent Janssen is in the reserves.

Tottenham fans have reacted on Twitter to the news their club have made initial steps in a move to sign Cutrone, and the majority are desperate to see the Italian pull on a Tottenham shirt come the start of the 2019-20 season.
