Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly made an offer to lure Lyon head of recruitment Florian Maurice to north London this summer ahead of what promises to be a busy summer window – but Spurs fans want Lille director Luis Campos instead.
Spurs are expected to be busy in the window with many of their players being linked with a move. Indeed, Harry Kane’s future continues to be up for debate, while Jan Vertonghen is expected to leave this summer whe his contract expires.
Meanwhile, the club are expected to bring in a number of players in key areas. Kane needs a back-up striker, after Spurs failed to sign one in the summer. A new central midfielder, full-backs and even a new goalkeeper could be targeted.

According to French newspaper L’Equipe, Tottenham are keen on 46-year-old Maurice who managed six caps for France during his playing career. He also played for Lyon, as well as Marseille, Paris Saint-Germain and even Celta Vigo.
Maurice’s future at Lyon is currently in doubt after the French side chose to bring Brazilian legend Juninho back to the club as a sporting director. It is likely to see Juninho and Maurice cross paths on certain subjects, and could easily lead to a fall-out.
Many Tottenham fans have responded to the rumours about Maurice, with the majority desperate for the club to ignore the Lyon supremo and instead go for Lille’s Portuguese talent spotter Campos – who was linked earlier this season.
