Tottenham fans react as club linked with Barcelona star Emerson
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly one of four Premier League clubs that have made contact with Barcelona for Brazil international Emerson ahead of the summer window – and Spurs fans have responded on Twitter.
Spanish outlet Sport have claimed that Tottenham have opened talks to sign 21-year-old right-back Emerson, who is currently impressing on loan at Real Betis – and is yet to make a single senior appearance for his parent club.
However, Spurs are not alone in their pursuit of the one-time Brazil international. West Ham United, Everton and Newcastle United are also said to have made contact over a move to sign the right-back.

Signed by Barcelona from Brazilian side Atletico Mineiro, Emerson has been on loan at Real Betis for the past 18 months and has clocked up 35 appearances in all competitions – scoring three goals and creating five more.
Spurs do have Serge Aurier, but the Ivorian is continually criticised for his performances, while Kyle Walker-Peters could be sold this summer as he remains on loan at Southampton. Barcelona are said to want just £17.5million for Emerson.
Tottenham supporters have reacted on Twitter to the reported news that their club have made contact with Barcelona for the Brazil international. Many feel he would be a good addition.

I like Emerson and Grimaldo. Umtiti would cost a lot. There are better keepers than Onana – the Lazio keeper has been mentioned and I like Mat Ryan at Brighton, rarely makes a mistake but makes plenty of top class saves with PL experience (we had on trial as a youngster).

I think Umtiti is alright tbf…. maybe they should add Emerson and the Cucurella guy into the deal instead of Semedo.
