Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for AS Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini but reportedly face competition from north London rivals Arsenal – and Spurs fans want him signed.
The 22-year-old has enjoyed an excellent campaign at Roma, having a hand in 11 goals from central midfield. He has found the back of the net four times, and created seven assists.
Italian outlet CalcioMercato have claimed that Pellegrini’s agent has travelled to London and that has put both Spurs and Arsenal on alert, in a bid to lure the 10-time Italy international to the Premier League.

The report claims Pellegrini has a £31million release clause in his contract, which still has three years left to run. It is also believed Inter Milan are interested in signing Pellegrini this summer.
Spurs desperately need a central midfielder after failing to replace Mousa Dembele in January, who moved to China. Arsenal could also do with a new maestro in the middle of the park, as Aaron Ramsey has joined Juventus.
Tottenham fans reacted to the news on Twitter that their club are interested in signing Pellegrini from Roma alongside Arsenal, and many are desperate to see the midfielder put pen to paper on a Spurs deal.
