Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing AC Milan playmaker Hakan Calhanoglu as a potential replacement for Christian Eriksen – and Spurs fans have reacted to the link on Twitter.
Turkish outlet Aksam have claimed that Tottenham are interested in the 25-year-old Milan star, who is being hounded out of the Serie A side this season after failing to live up to expectations since his move to Milan from Bayer Leverkusen in 2017.
He has scored 14 goals and created 24 more for Milan in that time but that has not been deemed enough by Milan fans. Eriksen is closing in on a move to Inter, where he could face Calhanoglu in future Milan derbies.
But the Turkish star could also replace Eriksen, with Milan only wanting £17million for the 47-time Turkey international. Indeed, the report claims Tottenham are willing to spend that figure to bring Calhanoglu to north London.
Spurs have largely been linked with a striker this month, with Calhanoglu’s teammate Krzysztof Piatek being strongly linked with a move to Spurs. More recently, though, Real Sociedad ace Willian Jose has been linked with a move to north London.
Tottenham fans reacted to the reported news on Twitter, and many supporters believe he would be a good signing for Spurs.

Milan as they currently are have ruined plenty of good players, he could be a low risk high reward signing and still only 25, should be aiming for piatek as well, need a focal point more then another cam type player
