Tottenham fans react as club is linked with Roma star Nicolo Zaniolo

Tottenham have been linked with a move for Roma prospect Nicolo Zaniolo and their fans have been reacting on Twitter.

According to Corriere della Sera, Spurs are in a race with Juventus and Inter Milan to land the youngster.

The 21-year-old has scored seven goals and registered two assists during 2019/20 but could be on his way out of Roma.

It has been claimed in the reports that boss Paulo Fonseca hasn’t been too pleased with his performances and could offload the player.

Tottenham would seemingly need to stump up some serious cash, however. It has been suggested that Roma value their man at £50 million.

Given Daniel Levy’s history in the market, it could make Zaniolo to Spurs a longshot but nonetheless it would appear there is interest.

Jose Mourinho will want to strengthen his squad in the summer as he prepares for his first full season in charge.

The Portuguese boss won’t be in the Champions League and a return to Europe’s elite club competition will be the aim.

Zaniolo could certainly help achieve those goals but some fans remain unconvinced by this.

Some rate the youngster as a player but hold doubts for one reason or another.
