Tottenham fans react as club eye World Cup winner

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing World Cup winner Matthias Ginter – and Spurs fans have reacted on Twitter to the news.

Ginter, 27, is one of the Bundesliga’s best defenders that has not joined a big club as of yet. He remains at Gladbach, the club he joined back in 2017.

During his time with Gladbach, he has surpassed 150 appearances – having previously clocked up more than 100 with Borussia Dortmund.

The centre-back also has 44 caps with Germany, shining for his country. Joachim Low labelled him one of his country’s most “undervalued” stars.

Now, reports claim Tottenham are interested in signing the defender – who has entered the final 12 months of his contract at Gladbach this season.

Ginter to Tottenham: What are Spurs fans saying?

Tottenham are already suffering from an early, mini-crisis at centre-back. Japhet Tanganga is suspended for this weekend’s clash against Chelsea.

Cristian Romero is isolating after his Argentina debacle, while Eric Dier is struggling with a thigh injury. So, a centre-back is needed.

CalcioMercato report that Fabio Paratici has identified Ginter as a possible addition to Tottenham’s side in the next few months, possibly on a free.

However, Spurs are not alone – with Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and Real Madrid also tracking Ginter. A decision needs to be made on his future.

Tottenham fans have reacted on Twitter to the reports that their club are looking ar Ginter. Many believe he would be a top addition.
