Tottenham fans react as club are linked with Islam Slimani move
Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting to reports the club could make a move for Leicester City striker Islan Slimani.
As reported by The Telegraph, Spurs boss Jose Mourinho wants a target man to replace the injured Harry Kane, and the Algeria international is a possible option.

The star is currently out on loan at AS Monaco, where he’s scored seven goals in 14 games so far – which is more than other reported targets Krzysztof Piątek and Luka Jovic combined.
£80,000-a-week Slimani (Spotrac) signed for the Foxes back in 2016 for a reported £29 million (BBC Sport), but has failed to convince at the King Power.
Before his Monaco stint, the 31-year-old had spells with Fenerbahce and Newcastle United, which was particularly unspectacular due to injury.
With Kane looking at a three-month lay-off due to a ruptured hamstring, the club are under pressure to act this January, with youngster Troy Parrott the only recognised striker available to Mourinho.

Lucas Moura and Heung-min Son have both shown the ability to play through the middle but it’s not something that comes off every time.
Tottenham fans react
The reaction to the Slimani links online has been largely negative from Spurs fans, many of whom don’t feel he has enough quality to deputise for Kane:
We’ve gone from Jovic and Piatek to Slimani ?

Depressing. I’m losing all interest after 34 years of supporting spurs.
