Aston Villa are set to offer Ezri Konsa a new contract in a bid to fend off interest from Tottenham in the defenders, according to The Mirror.
Villa signed the centre-back for £12 million from Brentford in the summer of 2019 and he’s grown as a player over the last 12 months.
Konsa has been bang in form this season, playing in all but two of Villa’s 26 games in the Premier League.
His form alongside Tyrone Mings in defence has led to admiring glances from other clubs, most notably Tottenham.
Konsa currently earns £30,000-a-week and a new deal could see him earn a significant pay increase at the club.

Following the news that Konsa could be offered a new deal, Spurs supporters have taken to Twitter.
Plenty of fans think he should be the priority this summer and would like the club to take action.
The youngster is a talented central defender and looks set for a really bright future in the game.
Tottenham’s defending at times this season has left a lot to be desired and a new centre-back will certainly be on Jose Mourinho’s hit list.
