Georges-Kevin Nkoudou is reportedly set to rejoin Tottenham Hotspur this summer after AS Monaco opted against making his loan move a permanent one – but Spurs fans are desperate to get rid of him this summer.
Magazine France Football have claimed the 24-year-old will not be signed permanently by Leonardo Jardim’s side, after managing just three substitute appearances on loan at the Ligue 1 side.
Indeed, immediately after signing he made three substitute appearances for Monaco in their fight against relegation from the top tier of French football. But for the rest of his loan, he was in the treatment room with a hamstring issue.
It has led to Monaco deciding against extending his loan deal or making it a permanent move, meaning the former Marseille star will return to Spurs this summer. He still has two years left on his £35,000-a-week deal (Spotrac).
Nkoudou has little future at Spurs, given that Mauricio Pochettino’s side boast a whole host of attacking options from out wide. They include Erik Lamela, Son Heung-min, Lucas Moura, Moussa Sissoko and Christian Eriksen.
Tottenham fans reacted on Twitter to the news that Nkoudou will be returning to north London at to begin the summer, and many are keen to see the Frenchman offloaded.
Useless. Better release him then
