Under Jose Mourinho this season he has already scored 14 goals and registered seven assists in all competitions.

Spurs were beaten 2-1 by Liverpool on Wednesday night, ending an 11-game unbeaten run in the league, with Son scoring.

Tottenham have gone from also-rans to genuine title credentials under Mourinho and Son has been a large part of that.

The £140,000-a-week forward has been scintillating under the Spurs boss and as long as he stays fit they’ll have a shot at the title.

Son has scored 26 goals in 89 games for South Korea and on current form, he is one of world football’s top-performing players.

Following his latest accolade, Spurs fans were quick to rave about their star man.
