An enthralling game in North London ended in a Tottenham Hotspur win on Thursday night – and Spurs fans have raved about Harry Kane.

A 3-4-3 system was adopted by Antonio Conte in his first Spurs game against Dutch side Vitesse. It saw Kane partner Lucas Moura and Son Heung-min.

Sergio Reguilon and Emerson Royal provided the width, while a back three of Ben Davies, Eric Dier and Cristian Romero lined-up at the back.

It was a perfect start. Spurs went 3-0 up early on, goals from Son Heung-min, Lucas Moura and an own goal from Jacob Rasmussen got Conte going.

But Vitesse, against the odds, came back to score twice before half-time. Then, Spurs went down to 10 in the second half, Romero sent off.

Spurs held on, with Kane getting Danilho Doekhi sent off – before the Vitesse goalkeeper also got his marching orders for handling out the area.

What are Tottenham fans saying about Kane display, against Vitesse?

A shaky start, but a win nonetheless that sees Spurs take hold of their Europa Conference League group. Kane played much more as a striker.

Many times of late, he has dropped deeper – but against Vitesse, he seemed more of a number nine. Kane got an assist for Lucas.

The third could so easily have been his, too. Many Spurs fans were happy with Kane, who was excellent in terms of holding the ball up.
