Tottenham fans praise Tanguy Ndombele after Norwich draw

Tottenham were held to a 2-2 draw away to Norwich City on Saturday evening – but some of the club’s supporters on Twitter were still impressed with the performance of their midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.

Spurs missed the chance to go into the top four of the Premier League and a point means they only move temporarily up to fifth.

The North London club had to come from behind on two separate occasions to salvage a point against bottom of the table Norwich.

It was the hosts who went in front at Carrow Road through Mario Vrancic, as he was allowed to glide through the centre of the pitch and take a shot that went in.

Christian Eriksen equalised early in the second-half with his free-kick, before defender Serge Aurier restored Norwich’s advantage with an own goal.

Harry Kane netted an 83rd minute penalty to make it 2-2 and Spurs were unable to find a late winner.

A selection of Spurs supporters on social media found positives with Ndombele’s display despite dropping points against bottom of the league.

The 22-year-old central midfielder showed some real quality touches on the ball that caught the eye and can be a driving force for them.

He’s yet to become a nailed-on starter in Jose Mourinho’s team, but there is a strong case for him to play more games moving forward.
