Tottenham fans praise Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg after Crystal Palace draw

A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s display in Spurs’ draw with Crystal Palace on Sunday.

The clash at Selhurst Park may well feel like a defeat for Jose Mourinho’s men. Tottenham conceded a second-half equaliser against the Eagles. And they were denied a winner by a number of incredible saves from Vicente Guaita.

In truth, Jose Mourinho’s men seemed to be some way short of their best. A number of players were under-par against the Eagles.

However, Hojbjerg was one member of the squad who did manage to impress a number of supporters on social media.

As shown by Whoscored.com, he completed 62 accurate passes. Eric Dier was the second-most prolific passer from either side, with 42 to his name.

Meanwhile, the Dane won two aerial duels. He also won three challenges. Toby Alderweireld and Moussa Sissoko were the only Spurs players to win more.

Understandably, it does not appear that Hojbjerg has received the same level of praise that he has on other occasions this season. He has been outstanding for much of the campaign.

But he does seem to have been considered one of the few players who can be content with his performance on a frustrating day for Mourinho’s side.
