Harry Winks started in the Champions League defeat to Liverpool on Saturday night – and some of the Tottenham fans on Twitter praised him for his performance.
Spurs ended up losing 2-0 in Madrid in the Champions League final, but enjoyed a stunning run to the final.
Mohamed Salah scored a penalty in just the second minute for Liverpool, after Moussa Sissoko was penalised for a handball.
Jurgen Klopp’s team then added a second late on and it was substitute Divock Origi who made sure of the European trophy.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side beat the likes of Ajax and Manchester City en route to the final, but lacked the clinical touch in the final.

A selection of Spurs fans on social media were understandably disappointed by the defeat, but feel that England international Winks deserves immense praise.
The 23-year-old central midfielder was tidy in possession and made a number of passes, but couldn’t quite find the final ball.
He was sacrificed in the second-half and substitute Lucas Moura had an attempt on goal, but it just wasn’t their night in Madrid.
