Tottenham fans praise Paulo Gazzaniga’s display in late away win against Wolves

Tottenham moved back into fifth place in the Premier League with a dramatic late win over Wolves at Molineux yesterday.

Lucas Moura’s fantastic solo goal put Spurs ahead in the first half before Adama Traore’s rasper levelled the scores at a time when the home side were on top.

But Jan Vertonghen inflicted Wolves’ first defeat since September and landed a major blow in the chase for the top four with a late winner.

That gives Tottenham the chance to overtake Chelsea when the two sides meet next weekend and continues the resurgence in form following the arrival of Jose Mourinho.

Goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga’s performance kept his side from going behind as the 27-year-old continued an impressive form in the absence of Hugo Lloris.

The supporters on Twitter were impressed with the Argentine’s performance and suggested that club captain Lloris is going to have a real task on his hands to get his place back when he’s fit again.

Gazzaniga and Tottenham need another big performance next week when they host the Blues in a match that has all the makings of a Christmas cracker and could have a major impact on the race for the top four.
