Davinson Sanchez helped Tottenham record a narrow 1-0 win over Newcastle United – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter hailed him for his performance.
Mauricio Pochettino’s team leapfrogged Manchester City into second in the Premier League table with three home points at Wembley.
They scored the winner late in the second-half through Heung-Min Son and have now won three games in the league in succession.
Spurs’ defence remained fairly untested during the contest, but supporters on social media were impressed by Sanchez and feel that was a beast in the backline.

Sanchez took his place in the heart of defence on Saturday and got the better of his individual battle against Newcastle centre-forward Salomon Rondon, who has been in good form of late.
The 22-year-old is a centre-back that can be rash at times and is still developing, but overall looks matured beyond his years and has the pace that must centre-backs envy.
He kept his place at centre-back alongside teammate Toby Alderweireld, while senior figure Jan Vertonghen shifted out to left-back.
Sanchez is continuing to play an important role in the Spurs first team and is an ever-present in the XI.
