Tottenham midfielder Eric Dier has issued a rallying cry amid the club’s poor run of form – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have responded with major criticism.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side need to try build some momentum when they return to action this weekend against Watford after the international break.
Spurs host Watford in the Premier League on Saturday before games against Red Star Belgrade and Liverpool.
There has to been a response to some shocking form of late, which has seen them lose two of their last three league fixtures.
Mauricio Pochettino’s team were also dumped out of the Carabao Cup on penalties by Colchester United and hammered 7-2 by Bayern Munich in the Champions League group stages.
Dier has spoken about the Spurs players coming together to fix their slump.
“We’re going to have to be as strong as ever to push past this period, and you can have my word that everyone here will do the most they possibly can to do that,” Dier said, as quoted by the club’s official Twitter account.

A selection of Spurs supporters on social media aren’t confident with Dier’s comments and are extremely downbeat right now.
Pochettino couldn’t have chosen a better game this weekend than at home to Watford, who are winless in the league so far this season and sit bottom of the table.
His team need to go out playing an aggressive game offensively, while it’s about time the senior defenders stood up too like they are capable of.
Paulo Gazzaniga will be in-between the sticks during the injury layout of main goalkeeper Hugo Lloris until 2020, but he’s got a lot of potential and is usually a safe pair of hands.
Dier, 25, is in some respect a senior member of the side having been an important player during Pochettino’s reign.
The defensive midfielder hasn’t played a lot this season and seems out of favour, but did return to try help spark a reaction against Brighton in the last result.
