Tottenham Hotspur defender Kyle Walker-Peters has revealed he nearly cried when Harry Kane scored his first goal against Aston Villa on Saturday.
The full-back, who played a full 90 minutes, watched as Kane converted in the 86th minute to give Spurs the lead after Tanguy Ndombele’s equaliser.

The England captain then made sure of the points by adding a second shortly after.
Walker-Peters was seen collapsing to the turf after Kane added the team’s crucial second goal, and the 22-year-old has now opened up about what he was feeling inside.
He said (official website): “Honestly, I could have cried on the pitch. It was that sort of emotion as the goal went in.
“When that goal goes in, you just think about everything you have been through to get here; everything I have been through on my journey to getting into the first-team and finally getting more and more opportunities as the gaffer is showing that trust in me.”

It was a big finish from Spurs, who will need to greatly improve for this weekend’s trip to the Etihad Stadium to face Manchester City.
