Tottenham fans laugh off Real Madrid request to reduce Reguilon buyback fee
Tottenham fans left baffled by Real Madrid’s Reguilon request.
The Lilywhites love their Spanish defender, Sergio Reguilon.
However, it’s always been in his contract at Tottenham that Real Madrid have a 40m Euro buyback option.
That option expires in the summer of 2022, after Reguilon’s two year anniversary of signing for Spurs.
However, a recent report from Defensa Central claims that Los Blancos want to negotiate down the buyback fee.
Spurs supporters have no interest in seeing Reguilon leave the club, let alone on the cheap.
Fortunately, the chances are that Daniel Levy won’t entertain this idea.
The Tottenham supremo is one of the toughest negotiators in football and is unlikely to budge here.
Real Madrid are reportedly unhappy at Reguilon’s development since he signed for Spurs.

Adding to that, they’re undecided on whether they want to bring him back to the club.
That has led the Madrid giants to want to lower the buyback fee that they have inserted in Reguilon’s Spurs deal.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side reportedly are only prepared to pay a fee of around 30-33m Euros for the Spurs man.
With that being the case, the fans want to see Real Madrid leave their defender alone.
The 24-year-old is growing into his role at Spurs and seemingly gets better with almost every display.
At his age, he also has time to grow into his role and continue to adapt to the Premier League.
The supporters are certainly keen to keep him.
In Ferland Mendy, Real Madrid have a good young option at left-back.
If Reguilon is to re-sign for Real Madrid, Spurs fans won’t be happy and will be especially frustrated if he only manages a bench role.

There’s a meeting Levy will decline. Reguilon value is certainly not coming down. He’s still adapting but you can see what a good player he can be.— Craig W (@Craig1_COYS) October 11, 2021
who do they think they are? Trying to alter a deal they agreed to? Not only that but it only benefits THEM,— LORD Lunatics running the asylum (@bashy_1986) October 11, 2021
