Tottenham defeated the Premier League champions Manchester City 1-0 today and Lucas Moura produced a breathtaking performance. Afterwards, their supporters raved about his showing.

Spurs were massive underdogs going into the game but they produced a superb display to send the champions away with zero points.

Nuno Espirito Santo will have been delighted with this performance and fans will be buzzing with what might be to come under his stewardship.

Moura was magnificent throughout. He has largely been a decent player since arriving from PSG in 2018 but consistency has perhaps robbed him of even more praise.

His Champions League exploits of 2018/19 will never be forgotten and he’s a firm favourite with the supporters.

The £80,000-a-week player was tremendous. He drove forward with purpose and looks like a player who could thrive under the new manager.

Moura was very nearly given the Man of the Match accolade by Gary Neville on Sky Sports, although Japhet Tanganga got the nod.
