Tottenham fans keen on sale of £20million-rated Kieran Trippier amid Everton interest

Kieran Trippier is reportedly attracting interest from Everton – and some Tottenham fans on Twitter are open to the idea of selling their defender in the summer.

According to the Sun, Everton are keen on landing the £20million-rated right-back at the end of the season.

It’s understood that Spurs would be willing to get rid of the 28-year-old, as they plot an overhaul in the full-back area.

Trippier is currently away on international duty with England and was an unused substitute in the 5-0 win over Czech Republic on Friday night.

The Spurs full-back really rose to fame last summer with his standout displays at the World Cup, as he helped the Three Lions all the way to a semi-final and even scored a stunning free-kick in the last four.

But he’s declined massively this campaign and struggled to have the same impacting Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

Trippier has made 29 appearances across all competitions this season, scoring one goal and supplying four assists in return.

He’s been caught out defensively in several games this year, which has meant that teammates Serge Aurier and Kyle Walker-Peters have also had a look in right-back.

The right-back has been with the North London club since 2015 and been an important player, but it seems many feel now may be the right time to exit.
