Tottenham travel to Championship outfit Middlesbrough on Sunday in the FA Cup third round – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter want to see Troy Parrott get a chance in the team.
Spurs get to briefly take a break from their mixed Premier League form and enter the FA Cup, which is a competition that manager Jose Mourinho previously won with Chelsea.
It’s expected that the North London club will make some changes to freshen up their side and some fringe player sin the squad will hope for an opportunity.
Spurs fear they could be without striker Harry Kane for four to six weeks (Sun) with a hamstring injury, which is going to leave the club with a distinct lack of options in attack.
Versatile attackers Heung-Min Son and Lucas Moura can slot into central positions, but academy graduate Parrott is the most natural replacement.
Parrott has played only two senior games this season, but has been a goal machine at youth level and is tipped to have a big future.
The 17-year-old striker would find it his biggest test yet if given a starting berth against Boro.

A selection of Spurs supporters on social media believe that Parrott deserves a chance at the weekend and want Mourinho to start the teenager.
