Tottenham Hotspur fans have been left in awe following the latest statistic to emerge about striker Harry Kane.

The England captain was on target once again yesterday, helping Spurs to a 2-0 win over north London rivals Arsenal in the Premier League.

It was another fantastic all-round display from the 27-year-old, who is in the form of his life right now.

Kane’s thumping finish against the Gunners means he is now the all-time highest scorer in north London derbies, but that is not the stat that is blowing people’s minds.

Kane’s latest strike was actually his 250th senior goal in 420 games for club (all clubs including Spurs, Millwall, Leicester City, Leyton Orient and Norwich City) and country.

Only Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi made it to 250 quicker, taking just 379 games.

He is comfortably ahead of the likes of Alan Shearer (477 games), Sergio Aguero (510), Cristiano Ronaldo (510) and Wayne Rooney (562).

While Kane’s creative side has been making headlines this term, the statistic is just a little reminder that despite his many qualities, goalscoring remains the peak of his game.

Given the player’s mentality, the statistics he finishes his playing career with are potentially going to make for amazing reading one day.

On social media, Spurs fans couldn’t get enough of Kane’s record:
