Tottenham fans impressed by Juan Foyth after display against Manchester City

Juan Foyth completed 90 minutes in the defeat to Manchester City on Saturday afternoon – and some Tottenham fans on Twitter.

Spurs recently beat Manchester City over two legs in the Champions League quarter-finals, but did lose 1-0 at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League at the weekend.

English prodigy Phil Foden scored the only goal of the game after just five minutes, as he found space in the penalty area to score an easy header.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side had their chances in front of goal throughout the game, but were blocked out by an in-form goalkeeper Ederson on several occasions.

The North London club remain third in the Premier League table, but the result means the race for the top four is far from over and they have plenty of work to do in the remaining four domestic games.

There were changes from the midweek Champions League game and youngster Foyth was drafted into the XI.

Foyth made just his 13th senior appearance of the campaign and was used in an unfamiliar right wing-back role.

The 21-year-old adapted extremely well to the wide position and managed to hold his own against a PFA Player of the Year nominee Raheem Sterling.

He is a centre-back by trade that is tipped for a big future and he certainly did himself no favours on Saturday,

Here are some Spurs fans commenting on Foyth:
