Tottenham fans have responded to reported news they will listen to offers for Lucas Moura

Tottenham will reportedly listen to offers for their attacker Lucas Moura – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter have responded by claiming it could be a sensible move to show him the exit doors.

According to Eurosport, Spurs may need to get some players out of the club and there are a group of individuals that they will embrace offers for.

The report says that Moura, Dele Alli, Harry Winks, Davinson Sanchez and Erik Lamela are the players potentially in risk of a departure.

It’s unclear on how much the North London club would want for the sale of Moura, but he cost them £23million (BBC) from Paris Saint-Germain two years ago and his current deal doesn’t expire until 2024.

The 28-year-old attacker is someone that has written his name into club folklore for the hat-trick he scored against Dutch giants Ajax in a Champions League semi-final.

But he’s not a permanent starter for Jose Mourinho’s side this season and hasn’t been named in a starting XI in the Premier League since October.

A selection of Spurs supporters on social media have mentioned Moura’s heroics in Amsterdam, but believe he’s surplus to requirements in the current squad.

The Brazilian speedster has a tough job trying to force his way into his preferred position as a right-winger due to the fact he’s competing alongside teammates Steven Bergwijn, Erik Lamela and Gareth Bale.

He’s scored five goals in 23 games across all competitions so far this season, but most of his success has come in the Europa League competition.

Here are some Spurs fans discussing the Moura speculation:
