Tottenham’s trip to Manchester City in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final was one of the craziest match in the modern European era.
The first leg was a tight, cagey affair, but there were four goals within 11 minutes of the clash at the Etihad, as Spurs recovered from the worst possible start to leave City needing two more goals to qualify.
Sergio Aguero made it 4-2 in the second half, to put City on course for the semis, before Fernando Llorente bundled the ball home for 4-3.
Raheem Sterling thought he had scored a stoppage time winner, which caused the Etihad to erupt before it was chalked off for offside after a tense VAR review.

Despite the open nature of the game, there were still some outstanding defensive performances for Spurs to stop them falling apart completely at the time when they were under the most pressure.
Jan Vertonghen, who Spotrac claim earns £100,000 a week at Spurs, was among them once again and the supporters took to Twitter after the match to hail his performance.
After an incredible night, Spurs fans are now dreaming of the final…
