Tottenham fans hail Tanguy Ndombele for performance against Real Madrid

Tanguy Ndombele got 45 minutes under his belt in a pre-season victory against Real Madrid on Tuesday – and some of the Tottenham fans on Twitter were raving about his performance.

Spurs secured a 1-0 win against Madrid in the Audi Cup, as centre-forward Harry Kane netted a first-half goal when one-on-one with the goalkeeper.

The North London club are continuing a decent string of displays in pre-season and manager Mauricio Pochettino is getting a good look at several players in his squad.

Ndombele played the first-half before being replaced and appears to be settling quickly since his summer arrival.

He cost a club record £53.8million (BBC) this summer from Lyon and has come in to help bolster the centre of the park.

The central midfielder showed the attacking side of his game with a fierce shot from range against Madrid, which was tipped over the bar by the goalkeeper.

He’s also a physical specimen in the midfield that covers plenty of ground and looked solid next to teammate Harry Winks in a midfield pivot.

A selection of Spurs supporters were pleased with Ndombele’s outing against Madrid and feel they’ve bagged themselves an excellent signing.

The 22-year-old looks a great fit for the Premier League and could force his way into Pochettino’s best XI.
