Tottenham fans hail ‘sublime’ Dele Alli after Arsenal win
Dele Alli stole the headlines for his performance in the win over Arsenal on Wednesday night – and some of the Tottenham fans on Twitter raved about him for the quality of his performance.
Spurs earned revenge for defeat earlier in December in the Premier League by beating them 2-0 in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals.
They have moved a step closer to their first piece of silverware under Mauricio Pochettino after reaching the semi-finals and have responded perfectly to the first defeat to Arsenal.
Alli set up Heung-Min Son’s first-half goal in the Carabao Cup, before scoring a sublime second in the second-half to secure the win.

The 22-year-old managed to control a looped through ball from teammate Harry Kane over the Arsenal defence and delicately chipped goalkeeper Petr Cech with the outside of his right foot.
He was at the heart of everything in the cup fixture after being hit by a bottle, but he ultimately had the last laugh on the pitch with a match-winning performance.

The England international has now scored scored five goals across all competitions this season and is recapturing his best form.
A selection of Spurs fans on social media singled out their attacking midfielder Alli for his “masterclass” and believe he was the standout player on the pitch.
One fan even suggested that everyone should forget about Chelsea’s in-form sensation Eden Hazard.
