Erik Lamela completed 78 minutes in the defeat against Leicester City on Saturday – and some Tottenham fans on Twitter were left praising him for his performance.
Spurs let a lead slip at the King Power Stadium, as they were beaten 2-1 against the Foxes.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side had gone in front in the first-half thanks to Harry Kane’s goal, but Ricardo Pereira equalised in the second period with a low driven strike and James Maddison netted a long-range goal late on.
The North London club have struggled when going in front this season and their Achilles heel once again came back to bite them in a big fashion.

A selection of Spurs supporters on social media picked out Lamela for his contribution and feel he had a great individual game despite ending up on the losing tea.
The 27-year-old once again started for Pochettino’s team and he’s featured in all six league games so far this season.
He was involved in Kane’s brilliant goal in the first-half that he managed to scoop in while completely off balance.
Lamela played a defence-splitting pass to Heung-Min Son, who eventually assisted Kane for his goal.
The Argentina international continued to pick up pockets of space in the final third to feed his teammates and it’s no surprise that fans were left praising him.
