Tottenham had to settle for a point in Saturday’s Premier League away fixture at Norwich City – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter were raging with defender Serge Aurier for his performance.
Spurs came from behind twice to end up drawing 2-2 at Carrow Road against Norwich, who sit rock bottom of the division.
Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho’s team are sixth in the league and missed an opportunity to move up to fourth in the Champions League spots.
Mario Vrancic’s first-half goal for Norwich was cancelled out by an inch-perfect free-kick from Christian Eriksen in the 55th minute.
Aurier then had a nightmare moment when the ball deflected in off him for an own goal, but Harry Kane kept his cool from the penalty spot late on to secure a draw.
A selection of Spurs supporters on social media were not pleased with Aurier’s overall contribution at the weekend.
The 27-year-old has been a regular in the team since Mourinho’s arrival and he slotted in at right wing-back away to Norwich.
He’s an attack-minded full-back that has occasionally turned in a strong display for Spurs, but his offensive game and crossing went completely missing on Saturday.
The Ivory Coast international also struggled defensively in the backline and doesn’t look a Mourinho-type player.
Here are some Spurs fans on Aurier’s display:

Serge Aurier. Possibly the worst player that I have seen in a Spurs shirt for many years. Mistake after mistake every game. Every team is now targeting him as the weak link and he needs to be offloaded ASAP. #COYS #NORTOT

Even at 16 stone, having just turned 40, I would like to officially declare myself a better footballer than Serge Aurier #COYS
