Tottenham fans far from happy with Nuno's tactical blunder

Tottenham fans aren’t at all happy with Nuno.

Against Crystal Palace on Saturday Nuno Espirito Santo got it oh so wrong.

Despite the number of changes he was forced into, there were still many mistakes made.

Just because you’ve been dealt a bad hand, it doesn’t mean you have to play it badly.

Nuno did just that, however.

A midfield trio of Harry Winks, Oliver Skipp and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg doesn’t have any creativity to it.

To make things worse, Dele Alli was pushed into the front three, slowing down Spurs’ attacking line.

The fans are far from happy with the midfield trio that was used and it’s hard to blame them.

There was no thrust or creativity in there, and the fans will be livid if they see that same trio being used again.

Fortunately, on Thursday the Lilywhites have a chance to get back to winning ways and play attacking football against Rennes.

Then, after that clash the next game for Nuno is Chelsea at home on Sunday.

That game is one that the Lilywhites simply cannot afford to get wrong.

After going into this Premier League weekend top of the league, Spurs are now 6th.

If they’re to lose to Chelsea then they’ll fall even lower down the table, so Nuno has to get it right.

At least with a midweek European game there’s the chance to experiment.

Tanguy Ndombele and Bryan Gil should both get minutes, and it could set them both up for starts against Chelsea next weekend.

Whatever happens between now and the Chelsea game, Nuno just cannot afford to make the same mistakes he made on Saturday.
