Tottenham fans far from happy with dreadful attacking numbers under Nuno
Tottenham fans aren’t happy with Nuno’s football.
The Portuguese manager was appointed over the summer but has so far failed to deliver the attacking football which the fans crave.
In the Premier League this season the Lilywhites have only scored three goals.
Fortunately, those three goals came across three 1-0 wins as Tottenham topped the table going into the September internationals.
Since then, though, things have quickly fallen apart.
Back-to-back 3-0 losses against Crystal Palace and Chelsea have had fans up in arms.
Tottenham fans aren’t happy with Nuno’s football
After that Chelsea game, a stat has emerged outlining how poor Tottenham have been going forward.
Under Nuno they’ve been one of the worst attacking sides in the league.
The Lilywhites are dead last for the xG they’ve amassed this season.
They’re also 19th for big chances created and total shots.
Meanwhile, they’re 16th for goals and open-play goals.
This is something that simply has to improve.
Nuno has got to get the fans onside if he’s to last at the club and the displays so far aren’t convincing anyone.
On Sunday the Lilywhites face Arsenal.
That game gives the Nuno a chance to show his attacking intent.
Should Spurs come away from The Emirates with a win and a few goals under their belts then the fans may start to change their view.
After the Arsenal game the Lilywhites face Aston Villa, Newcastle and West Ham.
Those three fixtures will give the supporters a chance to see their side score some goals.
Nuno simply has to implement some change.
The way that Tottenham have played so far has been shocking.
They lacked attacking impetus and intent against Crystal Palace.
Then against Chelsea, despite a good first half, they were undone too easily.
Changes have to come fast and the fans are already losing patience.
