Tottenham cruised to a 5-0 win in the Champions League against Red Star Belgrade on Tuesday night – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter were left raving about the performance of Tanguy Ndombele.

Spurs put on an attacking masterclass at home to beat their Serbian opponents in style during the Champions League group stage fixture.

It’s been a difficult run of form lately for manager Mauricio Pochettino, but his players responded on the pitch for him in midweek and they will need to try take that confidence into the trip at Liverpool on Sunday.

Key attacking duo Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son each scored a brace for Spurs, while Erik Lamela also netted on his 200th appearance for the club.

A selection of Spurs supporters on social media feel that Ndombele was exceptional in the centre of the park against Red Star.

The French central midfielder excelled in a box-to-box role and often got his team moving forward with real pace.

He managed two assists on Tuesday night and he’s someone that can be a serious attacking threat from the midfield.

The 22-year-old joined from Lyon in the summer for £62.8million (BBC) and has a significant price tag on his head, but he looks a serious talent that will keep getting better and he’s got the physical attributes to succeed in English football.
