Tottenham Hotspur star Son Heung-min spoke to Spurs TV after his side picked up a 6-3 win over Team K-League in the Seoul World Cup Stadium in South Korea yesterday.
Antonio Conte’s side were made to work hard but ended up securing a comfortable win in the end.
Eric Dier’s stunner and Jin-Hyuk Kim’s own goal saw them lead 2-1 at the break, and the second half was a completely different game. Tottenham brought on Son and Harry Kane, and both players managed to score a brace each.
That raised the noise levels at the Seoul World Cup Stadium yesterday, and the country’s favourite footballer noticed something very different.
Son makes comment on Tottenham fans in the stadium yesterday
The South Korean national team’s home colour is red. Every time they play at the Seoul World Cup Stadium, supporters in all corners of the venue are seen showing support by donning the colours of the national team.
Yesterday, however, it was completely different. Almost every fan in the entire stadium was dressed in white, and Son absolutely loved that.
The South Korean said: “It’s 100 per cent different. When we play in the national team, this is our national team stadium, when we play with the national team, everything is all red.”
When told that the whole stadium is white now, Son said: “I know that, Tottenham fans don’t want to hear that (referencing Arsenal colours)! But, our national colour is red. Today, all the stadium was white and it was incredible.”

The support Tottenham have received in South Korea really is incredible, and it’s all thanks to Son.
The 30-year-old is a star among Tottenham fans in North London, but he’s a superstar in his home country. He is adored by everyone who follows football in South Korea, and Spurs are reaping the rewards now as well.
Tottenham take on Sevilla next in their pre-season tour and we expect a packed stadium again. The support will surely be just as good as yesterday, and we’re sure the entire stadium will wear white again as well.
Son didn’t start for Spurs yesterday, but we have a feeling he will get the nod this weekend.
