Tottenham fans discuss signing Leicester midfielder after excellent 3-0 win

Tottenham Hotspur eased to a 3-0 win over Leicester City on Sunday evening as Jose Mourinho’s men took a giant leap towards Europa League qualification – but some Spurs fans have discussed the display of a Foxes midfielder.

A well-taken brace from Harry Kane, and a deflected effort from Son Heung-min, saw Spurs leapfrog Wolves into sixth place in their penultimate league outing. Wolves fans Crystal Palace on Monday night.

It was Son who gave Spurs the lead as his shot was deflected past Kasper Schmeichel by James Justin. It was the first of all three goals inside the first 45 minutes. Kane scored his 22nd goal of the season with a neat left-footed finish.

Kane made it 23 despite an overhit pass from Lucas Moura. Cutting inside, the England captain curled a stunning shot past Schmeichel – with the game all but over at half-time. But Ndidi’s display has left a lasting impression.

Tottenham are expected to be after a midfielder this summer and while all signs point to Southampton’s Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Ndidi caught the eye. The 23-year-old Nigerian somewhat nullified Gio Lo Celso throughout.

Spurs fans discussed completing a move for the ex-Genk man, who cost Leicester just £15million (Guardian) in 2017. Many urged Daniel Levy to consider a move for the holding midfielder in the coming months.
