Tottenham Hotspur suffered a 2-0 defeat to Leicester City on Sunday in an early blow to their Premier League title chances but supporters have praised Sergio Reguilon for his performance on the left side of the defence.
Spurs came into the match in good form, but having a late defeat to Premier League champions Liverpool. Roberto Firmino scored a late header on Wednesday night and it was sure to have a lasting impact on Jose Mourinho’s side.
That seemed to be the case on Sunday. Spurs looked ineffective in the final third with Harry Kane and Son Heung-min proving a shadow of their in-form selves that have seen the north Londoners enter the race for the Premier League title.

Jamie Vardy opened the scoring from the penalty spot after Serge Aurier fouled Harvey Barnes, with many criticising the Ivory Coast international for his decision to fly in. A Vardy header made it two, deflecting in off Toby Alderweireld.
Many were below par. Aurier, Eric Dier, Moussa Sissoko and the Tottenham attackers failed to have an impact. But £48,000-a-week (Spotrac) Reguilon looked good on the ball and exciting going forward, and defensively strong.
WhoScored claim Reguilon won four tackles, second only to Gio Lo Celso in the Spurs side. Many applauded the former Real Madrid man, with many suggesting he was a rare positive in a disappointing defeat.
