Tottenham fans discuss Kyle Walker-Peters after 5-2 win over Southampton

Tottenham Hotspur earned an excellent 5-2 win over Southampton on Sunday afternoon despite going a goal down to Danny Ings’ first-half opener, as Son Heung-min netted four times – but Spurs fans have discussed Kyle Walker-Peters’ performance.

Ings – a reported summer target for Tottenham – opened the scoring with a stunning finish from an acute angle. But from that point in, Harry Kane and Son took Spurs to a 5-2 win and three points, with the South Korean netting four times.

Southampton’s high defensive line gave Son the chance to run in behind, and the attacker timed his runs to perfection – netting four goals after going through on goal. All four were created by Tottenham’s number 10, Kane.

The England skipper got on the score sheet himself towards the end of the match, tapping in from close range. Ings did score a penalty but it was a very convincing win for Spurs, in what was Walker-Peters’ first game against his former club.

Since his loan in January and then £12million (Mail) summer move, Walker-Peters has impressed for the Saints but came up against his boyhood club on Sunday for the first time. Despite the defeat, he showed some nice touches.

He also laid on an assist for Ings and many Spurs fans discussed the England Under-21 star’s performance for the south coast club, with many impressed. Some even questioned the decision to sell Walker-Peters on a permanent basis.
