Journalist Fabio Santini has been quoted by Area Napoli as saying that Lorenzo Insigne is keen on a move to Tottenham. He is yet to make a decision, but Spurs fans have urged Fabio Paratici to get a deal done.

Insigne, 30, is out of contract at Napoli – having passed more 400 appearances for the Serie A outfit earlier this season. It looks as if the 53-time Italy ace is looking for a change, after his whole life with Napoli.

Having already been linked with Tottenham, journalist Santini spoke out about the future of Insigne. He says that the Euro 2020 winner is ‘flattered’ by Spurs, but is yet to make a decision on his future.

He has three routes to decide from. To remain at Napoli and sign a new contract, to stay at Napoli until the summer and go on a free, or to leave Napoli in January – so his club can receive a fee for his services.

Santini also states that Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is happy for him to join Spurs, as it means he would not be joining a Serie A rival. A deal looks unlikely, though, in the January transfer window.

What are Tottenham fans saying about Insigne, amid the latest reports?

Insigne is a superstar in terms of European football. Available on a free, the Italian is likely to have numerous clubs after his signature. So, for Spurs to get a deal over the line, would be quite the coup.

Whatever Insigne wants, they should pay it. Whatever Napoli want, Spurs should agree to it – if it is within reason. But a cut-price fee is likely, given he is available on a free. Tottenham fans have had their say.
