Tottenham Hotspur failed to hold onto three points and a clean sheet on Sunday evening as Wolverhampton Wanderers scored a late equaliser at Molineux – despite the performance of Hugo Lloris, which Spurs fans have applauded on Twitter.
Spurs have now gone four Premier League matches without picking up three points and only have one win in six games – following Sunday’s late draw. Tanguy Ndombele gave Jose Mourinho’s side the lead inside the first 60 seconds.
Lloris’ France teammate Ndombele’s shot from 20 yards wrong-footed Rui Patricio and ended up finding the back of the net. But from that moment in, Spurs failed to create much else – Mourinho bemoaning his side’s failure to score a second goal.

Indeed, it backfired on Spurs. A Pedro Neto corner in the latter stages of the match was perfect for the onrushing Romain Saiss, who left Ben Davies for dead and flicked the ball into the back of the net to draw level.
It was clear to see Lloris’ frustration, who kicked out at the post following the Moroccan defender’s header. The 33-year-old goalkeeper, who joined Spurs in 2012 for £12million (Mail), edged closer to 350 games for Spurs – and is now just six away.
Tottenham supporters have reacted on Twitter to the performance of the World Cup winner, and many applauded their Frenchman for his performance. One fan labelled him man of the match, while another thought he was “brilliant”.
