Tottenham host Newcastle United on Sunday in the Premier League – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have demanded that Heung-Min Son is reinstated immediately to the starting XI.
The 27-year-old attacker has been absent through suspension for the opening two league fixtures, which Spurs have beaten Aston Villa and drawn away to Manchester City in.
Mauricio Pochettino now has the South Korea international back at his disposal and it will be interesting to see if he walks back into the team.
The versatile attacker has developed into a key player for the North London club recently and is a regular starter.
He played 48 times across all competitions last season, scoring 20 goals and supplying 10 assists in return.
Son scored the winning goal in a 1-0 victory during Spurs’ last match against Newcastle and he’s certainly an added goal threat that could come into the mix.
But it’s likely that one of Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen, Erik Lamela, Harry Winks, Moussa Sissoko or Tanguy Ndombele would have to come out of the team for him.
A selection of Spurs supporters on social media are convinced that Son should be back in the team against Newcastle.
Here are some Spurs fans on Son:
Hope we start lucas and son ahead of lamela and sissoko and drop eriksen deeper in a midfield 3 against newcastle
