Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris has reportedly returned to training – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter are extremely delighted.

The French goalkeeper has been sidelined since early October after sustaining an elbow injury in the defeat against Brighton.

But the Daily Mail now reports that the 33-year-old is back in light training and he should resume full training within the next 10 days.

It is understood that the shot-stopper hopes to be back in the side by the end of January or the start of February.

Paulo Gazzaniga has done a decent job stepping into the goalkeeper position, but Lloris has been the number one for the majority of his time in North London since arriving in 2012 from Lyon.

A selection of Spurs supporters on social media believe that the imminent comeback of Lloris is a major boost for the team and they are thrilled to hear he’s back training again.

He is going to bring plenty of leadership to the backline when he’s restored and will also get the chance to work under a new boss under Mourinho.

The French goalkeeper has made a few uncharacteristic mistakes in the past year that he will be keen to stamp out and a spell on the sidelines should make him more determined.
