Jermain Defoe bagged the 300th goal of his career yesterday during a win for Rangers over Livingston – and Tottenham fans have been raving about their former striker on Twitter.
The hotshot has recently returned from injury and his cool finish on Sunday encapsulated a career that has seen him score goals for fun for a number of different teams.
Defoe has played for Spurs, West Ham, Sunderland, Portsmouth, Bournemouth and Toronto FC, before signing for Rangers in 2019.
He made his move permanent in the summer and his strike against Livingston was his first of the 2020/21 league campaign.

Defoe has also scored 20 goals in 57 appearances for England during a glittering career and the 38-year-old is one of the game’s good guys.
Naturally, plenty of supporters took time out to congratulate the Rangers man yesterday, with plenty of Tottenham fans getting in on the act.
Defoe featured 262 times for the North London giants, scoring 143 goals and becoming a firm fan favourite at White Hart Lane.
Following his goal, Tottenham fans took to Twitter to discuss their former hero and plenty are delighted for him.
