Harry Winks is a doubt for Tottenham Hotspur’s Champions League quarter-final second-leg tie against Manchester City on Wednesday night – and fans are concerned after he was missing from a video on Tuesday.
The Evening Standard claimed 23-year-old Winks is a doubt for the Champions League clash after suffering a strained groin in training on Friday, prior to the 4-0 win over Huddersfield Town.
Dele Alli is also a doubt after suffering a hand injury, but he was included in the video that showed Spurs players boarding a plane to travel north to Manchester ahead of Wednesday night’s clash.
The likes of Lucas Moura, Fernando Llorente and Son Heung-min were all captured during the video, but midfielder Winks was nowhere to be seen.
Winks has been ever present for Spurs this season, finally putting his ankle injuries behind him. He has clocked up 40 appearances in all competitions for the north Londoners this term, surpassing 100 career appearances.
Tottenham fans reacted to the video in despair as there was no sign of England international Winks. Likely replacements for the Spurs academy graduate include Moussa Sissoko and Victor Wanyama.
Manchester City are likely to be without a midfielder of their own, in the shape of Brazilian star Fernandinho.
