Tottenham fans blast Mauricio Pochettino for late decision against Liverpool
Tottenham Hotspur put up a brave fight but failed to prevent Liverpool from winning 2-1 at Anfield despite taking the lead through Harry Kane – and Spurs fans believe Mauricio Pochettino made an error late on during the clash.
Kane gave Spurs the lead after just 47 seconds, after Son Heung-min’s deflected effort bounced perfectly for the England skipper off Alisson’s post. Kane reacted first, heading into the corner with enough power to beat Alisson.
Liverpool dominated from that point and although Son hit the bar on the break, Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson equalised with a left-footed effort. Serge Aurier then conceded a penalty, and Mo Salah slammed home the spot kick to win.
Pochettino handed new signing Giovani Lo Celso his fifth appearance for Spurs in the last two minutes of the match, with the Argentina international and former Paris Saint-Germain ace replacing Christian Eriksen in attacking midfield.

Pochettino made two previous substitutions, bringing on Tanguy Ndombele and Lucas Moura for Harry Winks and Serge Aurier but waited until the final moments to introduce Lo Celso – giving him little chance of having an impact.
Tottenham fans reacted to Pochettino’s strange decision to bring on Lo Celso – who is on loan from Real Betis – with just moments remaining at Anfield. Many believe Lo Celso should have been brought on a lot earlier.
Idiot Poch
