Kyle Walker-Peters has posted himself back in pre-season training with Tottenham – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have shown huge support for him and backed him for a breakout year with them.

The defender posted on social media (official Twitter) his return to training, with the caption: “First day back! Hard works begun”.

He has received numerous positive comments in response from a selection of Spurs fans and they have high hopes for him.

Walker-Peters has come through the academy ranks at the North London club and represented England up to Under-21s age level.

The 22-year-old is diminutive in size, but has decent pace and has had a taste of first-team action under Mauricio Pochettino.

He is a right-back that played 10 senior games last season across all competitions, including in the Champions League group stages in a draw against Barcelona.

The Times has reported that Spurs failed to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka this summer before his move to Manchester United from Crystal Palaceand tried to use Walker-Peters as part of a swap deal.
